Rescue, Rehabilitation
& Release
Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation (WRR)
rescues over 7,000 native birds, mammals, and reptiles each
year.
Animal Sanctuary
WRR provides permanent residence to over 400
animals.
Education
WRR offers programs for community groups and
school classes of all ages. Our presentations focus on the
natural history of our native wildlife, and respect for animals
and their habitats. Aspiring animal rescuers will enjoy the
games and information on our Young Rescuers page.
Advocacy
WRR is committed to educating the public on
issues concerning animals and advocating on their behalf.
These efforts are aimed at providing information about (among
other things) natural history, human-animal relations, and
threats to animal welfare. We also support attitudinal, behavioral,
regulatory, and legislative changes that contribute toward
a world where humans live in more sustainable and respectful
ways with animals.
24-Hour Emergency Hotline
Should you find an animal in crisis, or need
emergency assistance with a wild animal, please contact Wildlife
Rescue & Rehabilitation (WRR), 24-hours a day, at (830) 336-2725.
