Internships

Applications are being accepted for Animal Care Internship and Wildlife Education Internship positions at Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation (WRR).

Animal Care Internship

WRR Animal Care Interns learn animal husbandry skills and basic wildlife rehabilitation, care for a diverse range of animal species, rescue and transport animals, and perform limited administrative duties. This is an excellent opportunity to learn hands-on about captive, free-ranging, and urban wildlife with an emphasis on humane ethics and solutions.

Wildlife Education Internship

A Wildlife Education Internship a great opportunity for someone already committed to animal welfare issues to help redirect our culture toward a reverence for all life. Our emphasis is on teaching people to live humanely with their wild neighbors in spite of the pressures of increasing human development.

Horticulture Internship

Part of properly caring for animals at WRR involves creating a suitable habitat. To accomplish this, WRR needs persons to provide landscaping and horticultural expertise. Horticulture Interns will be responsible for providing care to plants in various areas of the sanctuary grounds, as well as have an opportunity to create their own project area in an agreed-upon location.
