Wildlife Education Internship
Applications are being accepted for a Wildlife
Education Internship position. This is a great opportunity for someone already
committed to animal welfare issues to help redirect our culture
toward a reverence for all life. Our emphasis is on teaching
people to live humanely with their wild neighbors in spite
of the pressures of increasing human development.
Education Interns will perform frequent
presentations before school, civic, and church groups across
the beautiful Hill Country of Texas for children and adults. Previous public speaking
experience is helpful, but not required. What is required
is a passionate enthusiasm tempered by excellent people, communication,
and public speaking skills. The two candidates selected for this
position will also assist the Education & Advocacy Coordinator
in researching, writing, and/or presenting investigative reports
and press materials.
Internships require a 6–9-month commitment
at 40 hours minimum per week. Applicants should be at least
21 years of age, and possess a strong personal work ethic
and a high level of personal integrity. A good driving record and ability
to drive manual transmission vehicles is necessary.
Compensation includes housing and a $50-per-week
stipend.
