A Happy Ending for the Dumpster Puppies

by Angela Grimes, Director of Operations

In December 2006, Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation (WRR) reported on a case where 10 puppies were tossed into a San Antonio dumpster. We are proud to report that all of them have found homes!

We appreciate our members who wrote in to thank us for taking in these pups and especially those who made donations for their care.

Thank you to Kim Head, their foster mom, who gave many, many hours of her days and nights for more than 4 months to bottle feed, clean, and medicate them, as well as and make bi-weekly trips to WRR of over 120 miles for health check-ups. Because of Kim's love and attention, these special dogs grew strong, healthy, and happy, ready for their new families. Many people came together to save the lives of animals who had been thrown away, and we are pleased to be able to tell you all of their happy ending.
