WRR Sanctuary News

July/August 2007

As I realize that August is fast approaching, I cannot believe my eyes that the pastures of WRR are full of tall, lush grass. While the rains are keeping the lawn mowers busy, they are also keeping the animal enclosures and sanctuary grounds a beautiful green more befitting a midwest spring than one in Texas. The caretakers who toil outdoors are enjoying the cooler weather and the ducks and geese can always be found in one of the many puddles that seem to never dry.

The orphaned wildlife babies continue to arrive, but many have already been released to their natural habitats. And we seem to receive more and more calls for cats and dogs; our new dog yard and kennels are already full of canines in need of a loving family.

We are able to take care of the babies, build temporary homes for adoptable dogs and cats and continue our sanctuary work because of the support of our members. I hope you enjoy reading this edition, and this month, I urge you to forward our e-newsletter to friends and family who care about animals so that we can get out the word about WRR's work to promote respect for and protection of all animals.

Warmest regards,

Angela
