Birdies for Charity at the
2008 Valero Texas Open

Birdies for Charity is a fundraising program designed by Golf San Antonio to give participating organizations—such as Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation (WRR)—the opportunity to generate contributions through the Valero Texas Open.

October 6–12, 2008
The Resort Course at Westin La Cantera
16641 La Cantera Parkway, San Antonio, TX

This exciting PGA tournament is not only a chance to see your favorite golfers, but also a way to help raise funds for WRR. By pledging one cent or more for every birdie (one stroke under par on any hole) made during the Valero Texas Open, or by making a straight donation of $20 or more, you can help WRR. 100% of your donation will directly support WRR. All administrative fees are paid by the PGA.

Make Your Pledge Now!

Make a pledge by October 3, 2008, for Birdies for Charity. Not only will you raise funds for WRR, but you will have a chance to win a 2008 Buick Enclave! All you have to do is make a pledge based on the number of birdies that you think will be made during the Valero Texas Open. Or you can make a one-time pledge.

Then, guess the number of birdies that you think will be made during the tournament. The person with the closest guess will win the Buick Enclave. In 2006 there were 2,159 birdies and in 2007 there were 2,294.
