Amplify Austin

Amplify Austin Day is the biggest giving event in Central Texas, raising $92.8 million for local charities. During a single 24-hour period, from 6pm on March 1st, to 6pm on March 2nd, residents across a seven-county region will come together to support more than 700 non-profits by making a donation towards those who support the Austin area.

Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation (WRR) rescues over 10,000 animals annually serving Texas (and occasionally the rest of the U.S.). Our staff answers more than 17,000 phone calls, 365 days a year, to assist the public with rescuing wildlife and advice on non-lethal solutions to human-animal encounters. Approximately 600 animals find permanent sanctuary in Kendalia, TX on our 212-acre property which includes a fully functioning animal hospital, a brand new vet suite, and a full-time veterinarian. During the spring and early summer months, WRR receives an influx of infant and baby animals who have been injured or orphaned and are in need of care. We are seeking funds to help supplement the increase in needed items this Spring during “Baby Season,” our busiest time of the year.
