Action Needed: Charges Against Cody Roberts for Animal Cruelty

An act of unimaginable cruelty has shaken us all.
In February 2024, Cody Roberts, a man from Wyoming, displayed heartlessness by tracking down a wolf with a snowmobile. He then crippled her, taped her mouth shut, and paraded the maimed and suffering wolf through a bar before ultimately shooting her. The penalty for this brutal act? A mere $250 fine. This is not justice. This heinous event highlights the urgent need for change.
Currently, no license is required to hunt wolves in the vast “predator zones” covering 85% of Wyoming. This policy facilitates acts of brutality like those committed by Cody Roberts. Legislative changes, such as banning the use of snowmobiles for hunting and abolishing predator zones, are needed to prevent similar atrocities in the future.
Join us in condemning this brutality and demanding change. Here’s how you can contribute:
Sign the letter urging the State of Wyoming to ban the use of snowmobiles and other motorized vehicles to chase down and kill wolves and other animals.
Sign the petition calling on Sublette County officials to bring more severe charges against Cody Roberts to hold him accountable and to deter others from engaging in similar acts of wanton cruelty.
Every voice matters. Every action counts. Together, we can ensure that such atrocities never happen again. Let’s stand up for justice and protect our wildlife.
